I’m disappointed that people don’t make an effort to learn Hawaiian, your own language, your kūpuna’s native tongue. Not many people have the oppurtunity to learn the language, but if you do, take it. ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi is very important to Hawai’i, not only because it’s our native language, but that’s all we have left of our culture. Our language and very few traditions are the only thing that is keeping the Hawaiian culture alive. Without a language, you do not have a culture.

Today the beautiful, strong Hana Hwang passed away. Thankfully her dream came true and she got to meet her biggest inspiration, Selena Gomez just days before it was her time to go. RIP Hana Hwang <3
